The Presidential Precinct is proud and grateful to announce Dessie Nash, Market Investment Executive at Bank of America Private Bank, as the new Chair of its Global Advisory Council (GAC).

Dessie recently shared with her fellow Council members: “I am honored to step into this role, and I look forward to harnessing our passion and purpose to assist in the growth of the impact of the Presidential Precinct.”

Dessie Nash is now Chair of the Presidential Precinct’s Global Advisory Council

Dessie has been an ardent supporter of the Precinct’s work for more than five years. Well beyond her role with the GAC, Dessie models leadership through service – by working with other organizations to help implement initiatives that focus on economic mobility, workforce development and financial empowerment.

Dessie will serve a two-year term as GAC Chair. Under her leadership, the Council will emphasize the following three priorities in its work:

  • Providing thought leadership on the development and implementation of Presidential Precinct signature programs
  • Community building among the Presidential Precinct network
  • Strengthening the Precinct’s fundraising efforts globally

Dessie succeeds inaugural GAC Chair, Toyosi Ogunseye, who stepped in as President & CEO of the Presidential Precinct in August 2023.

“I have great confidence in the future of the GAC because of Dessie,” shared Toyosi. “The Presidential Precinct’s continued success is possible because of visionary leaders like her.”

The Global Advisory Council was created in 2021 with the purpose of assembling a diverse and distinguished assembly of established global leaders, philanthropists, and committed experts to serve as ambassadors in advancing the Presidential Precinct’s work. The Council Chair also serves as a non-voting member of the Precinct’s Board of Directors, thus providing a critical channel for decision-making alongside the organization’s leadership.
