Orlando, FL and Charlottesville, VA – For the second year, Tupperware Brands Corporation (Tupperware) and the Presidential Precinct are announcing a partnership to co-host the annual Global Leadership Forum in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Global Leadership Forum, launched in 2015, is the Presidential Precinct’s premier, multi-regional gathering of young professionals. Including this year’s cohort of 21 leaders, participants represent 63 countries in total.

On Tuesday, October 30, a free, public conference will spotlight the week-long Forum. At the University of Virginia’s iconic Rotunda, distinguished speakers will include President of the University James E. Ryan, followed by Manisha Singh, Assistant Secretary of State in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs. The morning will culminate with a keynote address from the Executive Chairman of Tupperware Brands Corporation, Rick Goings. This event is open to the press. Interview opportunities with emerging leaders available upon request.

Tupperware’s sponsorship of the Global Leadership Forum reflects their longstanding commitment of igniting global communities, especially women, to realize their best selves. As a pillar in the company’s purpose for 70 years, the Global Leadership Forum is among other select programs and women’s initiatives that the company supports, including the Global Links program. Since 2012 this cross-cultural exchange program has been empowering women through education and opportunity by engaging high achieving female business and economics professors in developing and post-conflict countries. Co-founded by Tupperware Brands and Rollins College, with the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Global Women’s Issues, Global Links has provided free social entrepreneurship training to more than 4,000 university students, faculty and staff who have mentored more than 150 female entrepreneurs in Iraq and India. The program recently expanded to Brazil.

Rick Goings, Tupperware’s Executive Chairman, said, “In order to make transformational impact on societies around the world, it is essential that corporations form partnerships that will enable them to become active drivers in identifying sustainable opportunities that will uplift communities. We believe that Presidential Precinct has an established track record of aligning with emerging leaders who are committed to implementing innovative, realistic plans in their home countries that generate lasting and significant change, and we are proud to come together for this much-needed and worthy effort.”

“We are pleased to build on our fruitful partnership with Tupperware Brands for our 2018 Global Leadership Forum,” said Neal Piper, Executive Director of The Presidential Precinct. “Our collaboration continues to afford new opportunities for emerging leaders around the world as we support one another’s commitment to empowering women globally.”

The 2018 Global Leadership Forum is also supported by CFA Institute, the premier global association of investment management professionals. This valuable partnership with CFA Institute will catalyze conversations around economic empowerment and financial inclusion for women.
