Luke Sydnor

Engagement Officer

Luke Sydnor serves as our Engagement Officer, bringing fresh perspectives and a dynamic approach to connecting an alumni network of global leaders. With MAs from both Humboldt-Universität in Berlin and FLACSO in Buenos Aires, alongside studies at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Luke merges academic rigor with an international background.

As part of a German Academic Exchange Service grant, Luke managed international research efforts across Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. In Bhutan, he completed an MA thesis and engaged directly with senior government officials to better understand Gross National Happiness. In Rajasthan, he lived in a Jain temple while researching rural inequality. During his time in South Sudan, Luke supported initiatives for an NGO that has raised over $2 million toward diabetes relief in Africa, meeting with government ministers to secure scholarships for young athletes. While living in France, he offered language classes and delivered humanitarian aid to refugees.

In his free time, Luke celebrates cultural heritage through artistic collaborations across Europe, having received several grants from the French government to perform music across the European continent. In Hungary, he supports educational programs to encourage and serve international youth through his volunteering with SHARE Education Services.

Fluent in German, French, and English, Luke is eager to connect communities through intercultural dialogue. We’re excited to have him on board!
