The Presidential Precinct is honored to begin our year with four new members added to our Board of Directors. These four are renowned leaders in their own right – each bringing with them an inspiring career marked by integrity and a desire to give back to others in the communities around them. From our Founder & Board Chair, James B. Murray, Jr.:
“2022 should go down in history as a transformative year for the Precinct. We should return to in-person programming for young, visiting international leaders; we will be welcoming new executives; we will host our largest signature program with corporate support ever; we will reach new fundraising heights; and we have added remarkable new strength to our Board.”
Read a bit more about each of their backgrounds, and join us in welcoming these inspiring leaders to our Presidential Precinct Board!
John is a native Nigerian, fervent historian, and creative thinker, with deep investments in agricultural projects in his home country. He is founder and CEO of Axxess, the leading home healthcare technology company in North America. He is a stalwart example of civic engagement – specifically in his local Dallas, Texas Chamber of Commerce and United Way. His own story of building Axxess from the ground up is a story of hard work that all aspiring entrepreneurs can glean from.
We first had the opportunity to partner with Linda Klein when she was President-elect of the American Bar Association in 2015. Her global experience is an invaluable resource to our greater Presidential Precinct network, where she has already begun offering insights to alumni promoting human rights through the legal field worldwide. She is currently a Senior Managing Shareholder with Baker Donelson in Atlanta, Georgia.
Gil Minor has served as a longstanding, humble advocate of Presidential Precinct programs and brings to our Board a lifelong commitment to learning and re-investing in the next generation. He was Chairman, President and CEO and currently serves in the role of Chairman Emeritus of Owens & Minor, Inc., a $9.5 billion, Fortune 300 company that provides vital supply chain services nationally to healthcare providers and manufacturers of healthcare products. Gil is a 1963 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and a 1966 graduate of the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Stewart Gamage is a dear friend of the Presidential Precinct, having served for 11 years as Program Director of Morven Farm. From this position, she humbly served an integral role in the 2012 founding of the Presidential Precinct. Our very first program was hosted by Stewart! She is the founder of S. Hamilton Consulting which specializes in strategic positioning and issues management focused on women’s leadership, social justice and racial reconciliation.

“We welcome back a familiar talent in Stewart, a long-time friend in Gil, a former acquaintance with a stellar national reputation in Linda, and an international business “rock star” in John. There couldn’t be a better year ahead, and these new Board members will point the way to promising future.”
