Yasmin Abdulkadir holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Kenyatta University, and is a lawyer by profession, with over seven years of experience in the legal sector, focusing on human rights, renewable energy, and governance. Currently, Yasmin is a legal and administrative manager for Lake Turkana Wind Power, focusing on harnessing clean, sustainable, affordable, reliable, and secure energy services while protecting and conserving the environment. Yasmin is driven by her commitment to providing clean and affordable energy that reduces the overall energy cost to end consumers. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Yasmin plans to continue to advocate for using existing renewable energy for the betterment of citizens, as she believes that energy is a critical enabler for economic and social development.
