Tinotenda Ratidizo Chihera has more than five years of experience in the legal field. Currently, Tinotenda is the Advocacy and Policy Coordinator at the Institute for Young Women’s Development, focusing on mobilizing and strengthening young women to challenge injustice and to reconstruct alternative societies centered on openness, democracy, and equality. She is a member of Forum 2000 and Golden Key International Honours Society and a team leader for the Master Peace Club in Zimbabwe. Tinotenda is a former magistrate who deliberately offers pro bono legal advice to women. Tinotenda holds a Master in Public Administration and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree. She is committed to strengthening the capacity and abilities of women and positively influencing policy to promote feminism. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Tinotenda plans to use the new networks and knowledge to amplify her gender equality work, with a particular focus on the emancipation of widows.
