Sewar Alrashdan has been a Magistrate Judge at the Judicial Authority of Jordan since 2012, specializing in a broad range of legal fields, including Fugitive Extradition Law, Human Trafficking Law, Intellectual Property Law, Election Law, and Family Dispute Resolution. She holds a Master’s degree in IP Law from Brunel University London, and a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies from University of Jordan. She is a member of the Arab Women Legal Network and the International Association of Women Judges, and a PhD researcher in International Criminal Law. With extensive experience in both judicial practice and legal education, she has contributed to legal discourse as a speaker and trainer at regional and international forums, including those in The Hague, Amman, Cairo, and Dubai. Her scholarly work has been published in legal journals, addressing issues such as artificial intelligence, arbitration, intellectual property, and women’s rights. She has been recognized by the Women’s Studies Center at the University of Jordan for her contributions to advancing legal scholarship, particularly for her book, Women’s Rights under International Humanitarian Law: An Analytical Study.
