Patrick Chirindja

Patrick Nakalonge Chirindja is a humanitarian activist who is passionate about peace, education, and gender equality. He has eight years of experience in peacebuilding and security, human rights advocacy, and gender promotion and equality. Patrick is a founder of Great Lakes Youth Dynamic, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that promotes the voices of youth and women. Previously, he worked as the empowerment program manager for the Action for Promotion of the Social Environment, and NGO engaged with empowerment, environment, and protection in DRC’s South Kivu Province. Upon completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Patrick plans to apply his new skills and network to continue his activism, particularly against gender inequality.
