Nagie Ndende has more than six years of experience as an advocate of human rights. Currently, she is an assistant at the National Commission for Human Rights, where she focuses on analyzing the validity of complaints of human rights violations, performing technical work, researching and identifying human rights violations at the national level, and observing trials and elections. Nagie also volunteers at Bomoko, where she teaches English and provides assistance to women. And she is a member of African Quality Leader, a group that instructs young people in entrepreneurship. Nagie holds a master’s degree in Law and a master’s degree in Comparative Education. She is committed to the protection and advocacy of human rights, particularly women’s rights. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Nagie plans to use the skills and knowledge gained to continue her work in human rights and development to help the most vulnerable.
