Nafisa Atiku-Abubakar

Nafisa Atiku-Abubakar has more than nine years of experience in gender justice and social development.  She is currently a program manager at the Dataphyte Foundation, where she is responsible for utilizing data to drive socioeconomic development efforts throughout Africa.  As an alumnus president of the Emerging Political Leaders Fellowship and an Echo Change Global Ambassador, Nafisa is committed to nurturing emerging leaders and amplifying voices for positive change.  She has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nigeria and is deeply committed to advancing women’s interests and leadership.  Inspired by her personal experiences, she actively contributes as a commentator and consultant on social issues.  After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she plans to combat gender-based violence, empower African women in leadership positions, and expand gender justice initiatives.
