Ibrahima Kalil Gueye is the program manager of the Organization for Positive Change, a non-governmental organization in Guinea. With three years’ experience in good governance and peacebuilding, Ibrahima successfully established the first information platform for administrative procedures and national budget allocations in the Republic of Guinea. These platforms provide information to fight embezzlement and corruption. He is one of two Guineans selected as young peace builders by the United Nations, completing training in Nigeria. He chairs the African Youth and Adolescents Network on Population and Development (AfriYAN), the youth employment commission of the United Nations’ Youth Panafrican Network. He holds a master’s degree in Public Law from Kofi Annan University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Sonfonia. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Social Actors and Local Development at the University of Sonfonia. He is a YALI alumnus and leader, having participated in a YALI Connect Camp, programming at the YALI Regional Leadership Center in Dakar, and YALI Guinea. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he will continue promoting governance, peace, and education while fighting corruption.
