Mandela Washington Fellowship - Summer 2022
Hanna Mersha is a researcher with a public health and gender studies academic background with more than eight years of experience in various international non-governmental organizations, participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation phases of several health programs and researches. Hanna is currently working as a monitoring, evaluation, and learning adviser at EngenderHealth, a leading global health organization committed to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights and gender equality. Through the high-impact research work that she is taking part in, Hanna tries to find solutions for some of society’s toughest problems. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Hanna aspires to establish an organization that will create a data intelligence platform in which datasets are brought together and showcased to policymakers in an integrated and easy fashion to assist in evidence-oriented decision making.
