Geline Alfred Fuko has over 8 years’ experience in promoting and protecting democracy, human rights, good governance and the rule of law. Currently, Geline works as a researcher at Legal and Human-Rights Center, a local NGO. She designed and ran Tanzania’s first and only online public database and information center on constitutional resources. In the 2015 general election, Geline was appointed ICT HUB Manager of TACCEO Election Observation Center under the umbrella of 16 local civil society organizations. She pioneered the establishment of online, web-based TV and radio to air election video clips in order to promote peace and increase public access to electoral information. Geline holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Dar es Salaam and a master’s degree in Local Development from the University of Trento, Italy. Her goal is to assume more leadership roles to stimulate change and find sustainable solutions.
