Mandela Washington Fellowship - Summer 2019
Edgar Gweshe has five years’ experience working in the civil society in Zimbabwe, focusing on democracy and economic development issues. Edgar has experience working with community-based organizations in an endeavor to push for economic and social justice issues. He is a volunteer with a resident association called Combined Harare Residents Association as well as the Community Water Alliance. He is a journalist by profession, having studied at Harare Polytechnic College from 2000 to 2009 and has written in several publications in Zimbabwe. Upon the completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Edgar plans to use his experience in the media fraternity and civil society to push for issues of democracy and economic development in Zimbabwe.
