Breznevia Gemo Mascarenhas completed her Bachelor’s degree at Eduardo Mondlane University where she studied Sociology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Management at the Oil and Gas University of Liverpool. Breznevia started her community development work with a local NGO called Community Development Foundation (FDC). She assisted local governments on the issue of vulnerable and orphaned children with HIV/AIDS. Breznevia previously worked as an Environment Consultant at Impacto Lda, focusing on socioeconomic profiling and baseline studies, social impact assessments, and community and public consultations. Currently, she works as a Community Relations Manager for a coal mine project at Minas de Revuboe where she manages resettlement, compensations, and community and government relations.
