Bendu Parker Weeks-Lewis is a lawyer with more than 10 years of experience in administration. Currently, she is the Manager of Human Resources and Administration at Golden Veroleum Liberia, where she focuses on the implementation of the company’s internal policies and on the recruitment, development, and growth of employees. Bendu also is a founding member of Paramount Young Women Initiative, an organization that supports adolescent girls and young women by providing financial aid for education and advocating on their behalf. The organization has provided scholarships to deserving and less fortunate female students in high schools, universities, and vocational and technical schools, and has hosted intellectual programs and established peer group meetings. Bendu holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Master of Business Administration in Management. Bendu is driven by her passion to create a better world, especially for the most vulnerable. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Bendu plans to lobby with stakeholders to bring attention to issues that affect rural women and girls. And she intends to create a platform to provide access to information on rights and responsibilities to help improve the livelihood of women, girls, and children.
