Abdoul-Latifou Wali is a debate and public speaking coach with more than seven years of experience fighting extremism by training girls and boys, university students, and local authorities in speech mastering, debating, and peacebuilding. Currently, Abdoul-Latifou is the Togo National Debate Council chair and the coordinator of the Togo National Debate Championships. In this capacity, he organizes debate competitions and encourages young people to find solutions to societal problems in Togo, Africa, and beyond. He is also a volunteer trainer, teaching local authorities how to master and present speeches. Abdoul-Latifou holds a master’s degree in English Literature and is pursuing his doctorate in Comparative Studies. He is committed to fighting extremism and ethnocentrism, promoting peace, and advocating for human rights. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Abdoul-Latifou plans to travel to conflict areas and propose peaceful resolutions, thereby contributing to a more peaceful world.
