Yegor Krasnov

Yegor Krasnov is a Judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine (Commercial Cassation Court and performs duties of the Deputy Representative for Ukraine at the Consultative Council of European Judges. After graduating from Odesa National Law Academy, Yegor combined his work in the legal profession with a master’s program and post graduate studies in labor and social security law (Ph.D. in Law). He completed another master`s program in the Institute for Preparation of Professional Judges in 2008. From 2005 to 2017 he lectured in Odesa National Law Academy, simultaneously practicing solo or as a partner of a law firm. Since 2017 he has been a judge of the Supreme Court, commercial jurisdiction. He is an elected member of the Council of Judges of Ukraine, where he chairs the Committee on Compliance with Ethical Standards, Prevention of Corruption, and Conflict of Interest Resolution. In this role, Yegor provides expert opinions to resolve conflicts of interest or ethical dilemmas in the judiciary. He is leading the project for the development of the Code of Judicial Ethics and of the commentary to the Code. Since 2021, Yegor has been performing duties of the Deputy Representative for Ukraine at the Consultative Council of European Judges.
