Jacqueline Kamau is a Presiding Judge of the Vihiga High Court in Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Social and Legal Sciences (BSL) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) 1st Class Hons from University of Poona, India, Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law, and Masters in Social (Medical Sociology) from the University of Nairobi.

The experience that she has gained in serving in different committees of diverse interests has seen her present papers on a wide range of topics in conferences, workshops and seminars domestically and internationally.

Jacqueline is a Fellow, Chartered Arbitrator in Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and accredited tutor with training from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Centre of African Peace and Conflict Resolution (CAPCR) of the California State University in Sacramento, USA. She has tutored innumerable number of participants in Arbitration and Mediation many of who have now attained Fellow and Chartered Arbitrator status. She has contributed a chapter in Arbitration Law and Practise in Kenya and written articles in several journals. She is also a director at Strathmore Dispute Resolution Center (SDRC) and a member of the Asia Pacific Mediation Forum representing Kenya.

Recognised for her work in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Jacqueline received the award for Outstanding Woman in ADR, 2024 from Women in ADR (WADR). The same year, she received awards for Leadership  and Pioneer Women in ADR. She has a passion of pursuing academic excellence.
