Sofoniyas Tesfaye

Sofoniyas Tesfaye serves as the Managing Director of the Selamawi Rotary Peace Center in Ethiopia, where he leverages arts and culture to advance peacebuilding and research traditional mediation approaches in Ethiopia . Additionally, he plays a pivotal global role as a facilitator at Shared Studios Inc., a technology company contributing to educational content, and as a country curator for the world’s largest climate talks hosted by the Museum for the United Nations.

Sofoniyas holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Gondar and is currently pursuing a master’s in Project Management. As a sustainability ambassador and advocate for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), he serves as a Global SDGs Facilitator for the Unleash Innovation Lab, applying design thinking to address global challenges.

He leads one of Ethiopia’s largest youth groups, with over 24,000 online members, empowering youth through access to opportunities and meaningful engagement in decision-making processes.
