Mariama Jammeh
The Gambia

Mariama Jammeh has more than three years of experience in elections management. Currently, Mariama is an assistant regional electoral officer at the Independent Electoral Commission, where she focuses on managing all national elections, registration, and education of voters in her region. Mariama is a certified trainer for Empretec Gambia, and she has trained entrepreneurs from all walks of life. She is also a business coach and an entrepreneur. Mariama holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of The Gambia. She is driven by her passion to see more women assume leadership positions in politics. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, she intends to start her own organization that empowers women to assume key positions in politics.
