“I am a person with albinism, I need to protect my rights and the rights of other people.”

Bonface Massah has eight years of experience in inclusive development, specializing in disability inclusion. Currently working as the national coordinator for the Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi, Bonface conducts national advocacy, undertakes research, designs programming, coordinates activities, and manages volunteers. Bonface holds a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Studies, with a focus on Disability, Gender, and Development from the University of Stellenbosch and a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Malawi, Bunda College of Agriculture. As a person with albinism, Bonface’s passion is celebrating diversity. He seeks to champion minority rights and self-representation of young leaders with disabilities who are often excluded. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Bonface will continue to work as human rights defender and support community-based inclusion programming.
