Larisa Aleksandrov is the Program Officer at the Presidential Precinct. Having grown up attending international schools overseas, she deeply appreciates the way cross-cultural exposure forms students’ perspectives and character. She has also spent most of her professional years training and mentoring young adults through leadership development programs on a global scale.

After graduating from the University of Virginia with degrees in Foreign Affairs and Russian Language & Literature, Larisa joined the World Race, a program that allows young adults to volunteer with local nonprofits all around the world while undergoing leadership training. By 2016 she had led programming on the ground in over 17 countries.

Larisa then returned to Charlottesville to serve as the Engagement & Program Assistant at the Center for Christian Study, an organization that gives UVA students a space for events, scholarship, and community. She enjoyed the chance to continue challenging and encouraging young adults – particularly in a building where she herself pulled many all-nighters as a student.

Larisa transitioned to the Presidential Precinct in the spring of 2018. She is glad to live in beautiful Charlottesville, where she enjoys long-distance running and volunteering as a pianist in local community theatres.
